Hi-Definition Barbershop is the best Barbershop in the Bay Area. I highly recommend because every barber in Hi-Definition are super dedicated and super respectful towards their clients.They always welcome you when you come in Which in my opinion that is very important to do because they show that they care about their clients. In Every location that they have the cleanliness is their biggest priority to make sure the place is sanitized and clean before clients comes in. Fun Fact that Hi-definition has won best barber shop in Walnut Creek in 2019. That would really say something. My personal barber is Chris Dueñas he is very respectful and very dedicated and will always carry a conversation to lighten your day. strongly recommend to stop by because you won’t regret it!

I have been getting my hair cut by Johnny for the past five years and I honestly would not trust anyone else. He is always professional, punctual, and very easy to get along with. Every appointment feels relaxed, but also consistent and reliable.

The parking lot is on the smaller side but has plenty of spots. Ive never had trouble finding a spot to comfortably park my minivan.
The barbers ive had the oppurtunity to witness working all seem to get along well with eachother and work well together.
We never feel rushed like we have at other places. Our barbers listened well, asked us good questions to better understand us and have consistently followed through with great results and a happy client. They take cash or zelle or cashapp which is cool. We 100% Recommend this Barbershop!

I had an amazing experience at this barbershop! As soon as I walked in, the place felt clean, welcoming, and professional. My barber really took their time, paid attention to every detail, and made sure I got exactly the haircut I wanted. The fade came out super clean, the lineup was sharp, and they made sure I was comfortable the whole time.
What I liked most is that they didn’t rush—they checked in with me during the cut and made sure everything looked perfect before I left. The vibe in the shop was great too… good music, good energy, and everyone there was friendly.
Definitely my new go-to spot. Highly recommend my new barber Raul if you want a fresh cut

I have known Max Lober for about 15 years now and there is a reason I have stayed with him all this time. He is one of the best barbers out there. Max is not just talented with the clippers, he is a true professional who takes pride in his work and cares deeply about every customer who sits in his chair.

Outstanding shop. Really clean and the place is in a really nice location kinda hidden but easy to access and find. Atmosphere was also really cool and the guys that work there really make you feel like you're an old friend.
I got my haircut with Gio. He really listened to how i explained i wanted my cut. And he did a great job taking his time, cutting and asking questions along the way to make sure i was happy with the way my cut turned out. My haircut turned out to be perfect and exactly how i wanted.
Definitely highly recommend this place. The level of service and attention to detail is top quality. The friendly atmosphere was just icing on the cake!

I’ve been getting my cuts from Zay for a while now, and he’s consistently top-tier. He pays real attention to detail – very meticulous – and I’m always pleased with the result (my wife even more so). We’ve tried a few different “looks” and it always comes out great every time. You can tell he takes pride in his craft, rightly so. And the conversation always flows, he’s got a lot of interesting life experiences, always fun to hear what he’s been up to. I’ve been getting my haircuts from Johnny for years, even back when he was still at Urban Barber College in Concord. Now he’s a manager at Hi-Definition Barbershop on Boulevard Way in Walnut Creek, and I’m proud to say he’s still the only barber I trust.
He’s patient, understanding, creative, and extremely skilled at what he does. He always listens, gives honest feedback, and genuinely cares about delivering the best haircut every single time. One thing that really stood out to me was when I offered to pay ahead of time before an appointment, he told me to wait until after the cut so I could make sure I was happy with the result. That level of honesty and professionalism is rare.
My favorite part of every visit is the hot lather neck shave. It’s the perfect finishing touch and something I always look forward to.

Zay is hands down one of the best up and coming barbers in California. He takes his time and pays attention to detail ensuring that you get the exact haircut that you ask for each and every time. This man really might give the freshest fades in the East Bay. He could be a surgeon with how steady his hand is ✂️ 💈🔥. All of the other barbers and staff make you feel right at home as well. I’ve been getting my haircut with Raul since he first started practicing cutting hair as a middle schooler and he’s always maintained a high level of consistency and quality work. He always takes his time and makes sure my haircuts are exactly how I want them. Clean tapers/ fades, sharp line ups and never makes my haircut feel rushed. The shop has a good vibe and I always leave happy. Raul is definitely my go to barber, I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Struggled finding a solid barber since moving over from the Peninsula several years back. Connected with Chris at Hi Definition a year or so back and have been going back ever since. The cuts are always clean and consistent. The shop has good vibes and is clearly well run. It's always full or near full when I go in (mid day on Fridays) which I think speaks to the level of quality from their whole team. Highly recommend Hi Def and Chris in particular.

It's been almost ten years since I moved back here and this is still the only barbershop I've been to. I get my hair cut with Max, who over the years helped me find my "usual" cut, experiment with longer hair, shorter hair, styled hair. No matter what, he always gives good honest advice, and I end up with a solid cut and looking fresh.
This place is professional, has a great vibe, and easy to book (fyi they don't do walk-ins). All the barbers are friendly.

My barber Isaiah was friendly, professional, and really took the time to listen to what I wanted. I have been getting my cuts with Antonio for about two years now. Antonio is a great barber. He has a keen eye for detail, he listens to what you want and if asked he also provides his professional opinion and advice on styles, cuts etc (which is always spot on). The Barbershop is clean, great music, safe COVID protocols and above all else, all the staff including the owner are good people. Definitely recommend Antonio and High Definition Barbershop!

I have been coming to this location for three years. I get my haircut by Antonio. Cuts are always consistent. They are able to do solid fades and quality scissor cuts. I have never walked away disappointed. Unlike other shops barbers have worked there for years, low turnover. They use a user-friendly scheduling system available on their website. Parking available on-site. Prices are more expensive than your average walk-in shop, but the quality of cut is superior.

I’ve been coming to Hi-Definiton for 10+ years. What keeps me coming back and sticking with them as my only barbershop is obviously the top-notch quality of the haircut, but not only that.. all of the barbers are very friendly and welcoming, which makes for a comfortable and calming environment. The service is tremendous, and everyone in the shop goes above and beyond to make your experience the best possible. They even offer free beverages with every cut! That’s what I want in my barbershop!
